What FMS Hobby sells
FMS is a radio-control brand known for foam scale aircraft and, more recently, small-scale crawlers and trucks. Models are sold in different levels of completeness, from kits that need your own radio, receiver and battery to ready-to-run packages.
| Product | RC aircraft, cars and crawlers |
|---|---|
| Return request | Within 30 days of the delivery date |
| Refund timing | 3 to 5 business days after the item is received, longer in busy seasons |
| Warranty decision | Made by product support after troubleshooting |

What the warranty leaves out
FMS's terms exclude problems that come from how the model was flown, driven or set up: slow reactions, pressing the wrong control, changed settings, improper handling and incorrect binding. In plain terms, a crash is your cost. That is normal for the hobby, and it is the reason experienced pilots budget for spare propellers, landing gear and wings from the start.
Refunds and terms
A return must be started less than 30 days after delivery. Refunds are issued once the item is received, on average within three to five business days. Product support alone decides how a warranty case is resolved after diagnosing the problem.
What to check before you buy
- Check what is in the box. PNP models need your own transmitter, receiver, battery and charger.
- In the United States, recreational flyers must pass the free TRUST safety test, and aircraft over 250 g must be registered with the FAA.
- Lithium polymer batteries need a balance charger and careful storage. Never charge them unattended.
- Price the common spare parts for the model before you buy it.
Who it suits
A reasonable choice if
- You have some RC experience, or a club or simulator to learn with.
- You have checked which electronics are included.
Look elsewhere if
- You expect the warranty to cover a first-flight crash.
- You have nowhere legal and open to fly.
