How we review
Most product listings mix real specs with marketing. Our job is to separate the two. These are the rules every review on Miana follows.
1. We use the maker's own figures, and date them
Specs, prices and availability come from the manufacturer's listing or documentation. We note the date we read it, because listings change. If the listing contradicts itself, we show every version and say which one we think is right and why.
2. We quote the law directly
When legality matters, as it does for e-bikes, we cite the statute by name and section, not a summary from another website. We tell you when rules vary by state and when you need to check locally.
3. We show our calculations
When we test a claim, such as acceleration or battery capacity, we explain the formula and give you a calculator to run it with your own numbers. If our assumptions are wrong for you, you can change them.
4. We say what we haven't tested
Every review states whether it is based on hands-on use or on research. We never imply we have ridden, worn or used a product when we haven't.
5. We say when something isn't published
If a maker doesn't publish a figure that matters, like a battery certification, we say so and tell you what to ask for.
6. Money never changes a verdict
We earn commissions on some links. Brands cannot pay for coverage, placement or ratings. See our affiliate disclosure.
