Are the discounts real?

61 of 71 listings showed a higher crossed-out price, with a typical markdown of 40%. When most of a catalog is marked down at once, the lower figure is the normal price and the crossed-out one is decoration. Compare the price you pay with other shops and ignore the percentage.

Returns, warranty and shipping

New products include a one-year limited warranty. Items marked "Tested & Returned" or "Certified Pre-Owned" are excluded from it. Returned goods are inspected for about seven business days after arrival, and approved refunds are sent five to seven business days after that. Orders are processed in one to two business days, with standard shipping taking five to seven.

Terms change, and the wording on the day you order is what counts. Save a copy with your order confirmation.

What to check before you buy

  • Check your hitch size and its tongue weight limit. Rack plus bikes must stay under it.
  • Check the per-bike weight limit against your e-bike with its battery fitted.
  • Check tyre width and wheelbase limits, especially for fat-tire bikes.
  • A cheaper "Tested & Returned" rack has no warranty. Decide whether the saving is worth that.

Who it suits

A reasonable choice if

  • You carry heavy e-bikes and want a ramp.
  • You have confirmed your hitch rating.

Look elsewhere if

  • Your vehicle has a 1.25 inch hitch with a low tongue weight.
  • You want to judge the discount. Nearly everything is marked down.
