What SmartWings sells

SmartWings makes motorised roller, cellular and zebra shades cut to the size you enter and built after you order. That makes it different from most stores in this series: there is no stock to count, and the product you receive exists only in your window's dimensions.

How the terms work

The return clock starts on the shipping date, not the delivery date, so transit time comes out of your 30 days. Once a return is approved you have 15 days to send the product back with a screenshot of your order. The three-year warranty covers motors and controls, which are the parts most likely to fail. Fabric and hardware are not mentioned in the passage we read.

Refunds and terms

SmartWings asks dissatisfied buyers to make contact within 30 days of the shipping date. A 15% restocking fee may apply to opened accessories. Because every shade is cut to order, ask specifically how a correctly made shade in the wrong size is treated before you rely on the return policy.

Terms change, and the wording on the day you order is what counts. Save a copy with your order confirmation.

What to check before you buy

  • Measure each window in three places for width and height, and follow the brand's inside-mount or outside-mount instructions exactly.
  • Choose the motor by the smart-home system you use. Matter, Zigbee, Z-Wave and HomeKit versions are different products.
  • Decide how it is powered: rechargeable battery, solar panel or wired.
  • Order one shade first to check colour, fit and connection before doing a whole house.

Who it suits

A reasonable choice if

  • You run a smart-home hub and want shades that join it.
  • You are careful with a tape measure.

Look elsewhere if

  • You rent and cannot drill brackets.
  • You want to return a shade because you mis-measured.
