Naturehike Cloud Up Pro 3 review: a roomy two-person tent with a 7-day return window

A $199 three-person backpacking tent with the footprint included. The floor width says two people, and the return policy says pitch it the day it arrives.

The short answer

Consider it if

  • Two of you want room for gear inside, or a dog.
  • You want a complete kit with footprint, stakes and guy lines for under $200.
  • You camp in three-season conditions.

Skip it if

  • Three adults plan to share it for more than a night.
  • You count every ounce. Tents at twice the price weigh a pound less.
  • You cannot test it within a week of delivery.

Three people, on paper

The listing gives one set of dimensions, 220 by 180 by 110 cm. It does not label them, but they read as floor length, floor width and peak height. That is 86.6 in long, 70.9 in wide and 43.3 in tall.

A standard sleeping pad is 20 in wide. Three of them need 60 in, which leaves under 11 in to share between the walls and each other. Three adults fit shoulder to shoulder with no room for bags. Two adults get 35 in each, which is comfortable. The listing's own buyer comments make the same point.

The 43 in peak is enough for most people to sit up. There is a single front door and vestibule, so whoever sleeps at the back climbs over the others.

Is it ultralight?

MeasureWeightPer person (3)Per person (2)
Minimum (fly, inner, pole)1.75 kg / 3.86 lb1.29 lb1.93 lb
Packed (with stakes, lines, footprint)1.93 kg / 4.25 lb1.42 lb2.13 lb

Backpackers usually call a tent ultralight at about 2 lb per person or less. Shared by two, the Cloud Up Pro 3 sits right on that line. It is light for the money, and "ultralight" is a fair description only if you accept that definition.

The page's shipping-weight field says 2.3 kg. That figure includes the box and is not the weight you carry.

Weatherproofing and the 7-day rule

The fly and footprint are rated to 3,000 mm of water pressure and the floor to 5,000 mm. Those are adequate three-season numbers. The page says seams are sealed. Among the seven buyer ratings shown on the listing, most are five stars and two are low, so results clearly vary.

That matters because of the return policy. Naturehike accepts returns within 7 days of receipt, only for items that are new and unused, and wants damage reported within 3 days. The warranty is called the "Naturehike Limited Warranty" with no length given.

Pitch the tent indoors or in the yard the day it arrives. Check every seam, the pole and the zips. If anything is wrong, report it inside three days.

FAQ

Does the Naturehike Cloud Up Pro 3 fit three people?

Three standard pads fit across the 70.9 in floor with almost nothing to spare. It is more comfortable as a two-person tent.

Is a footprint included?

Yes. The listing includes one footprint in the box.

What is the return policy?

Seven days from receipt, for new and unused items, with damage to be reported within three days.

Did you test it?

No. This review is based on Naturehike's published listing and our own arithmetic.

Verdict

The Cloud Up Pro 3 is a sensible buy for two people who want space and a full kit for $199. The weak point is after-sale cover: a seven-day return window and a warranty with no stated length. Inspect it the day it lands.
