The short answer
Consider it if
- You want a private screen for flights, trains or a bed.
- Your phone, laptop or handheld has a USB-C port with video output.
- You wear glasses and are happy to order prescription inserts.
Skip it if
- You expect a screen that stays pinned in space when you turn your head. The listing mentions no tracking for this model.
- Your device lacks USB-C video output and you do not want adapters.
- You want to use them outdoors as sunglasses with a display.
The 201-inch claim, worked out
Virtual screen sizes are marketing shorthand. The number that describes what you see is the field of view, and RayNeo gives it: 46 degrees corner to corner.
A screen that fills 46 degrees has a diagonal equal to twice the viewing distance times the tangent of 23 degrees, which is 0.85 times the distance. The listing's FAQ compares the image to a screen seen from 4 metres. At 4 metres, 46 degrees is a 3.4 m diagonal, or 134 inches. To reach 201 inches you have to imagine the screen 6 metres away.
| Imagined distance | Screen size at 46 degrees |
|---|---|
| 1.65 m (5.4 ft) | 55 in |
| 2.5 m (8.2 ft) | 84 in |
| 4 m (13 ft) | 134 in |
| 6 m (20 ft) | 201 in |
Every row looks identical through the glasses. The honest description is the first one: it is like sitting five and a half feet from a 55-inch television. That is a good-sized picture, and it fits in a jacket pocket.
Display figures
The panels are micro-OLED at 1080p, switchable between 60 and 120 Hz. RayNeo quotes 650 nits "to-eye", which is brightness after the optics and the more useful figure, plus 98% DCI-P3 colour coverage.
The spec block gives contrast as 200,000:1 and the FAQ calls it "infinite". It cannot be both. OLED pixels switch fully off, so black levels will be very good either way.
The page cites TUV certification for low blue light and flicker-free operation, and names the certifier as TUV Rheinland/SUD in one place and TUV SUD in another.
What plugs straight in
The glasses are a display with speakers. They need a USB-C port that outputs video (DisplayPort Alt Mode). Many laptops, recent Android flagships, handheld gaming PCs and iPhone 15 or later do. Plenty of budget phones do not, so check your device's specs.
iPhone 14 and earlier need Apple's Lightning adapter plus an HDMI-to-USB-C adapter. A Nintendo Switch needs RayNeo's JoyDock, sold in a $349 bundle. Consoles with HDMI need an adapter too. Price those in if they are your main use.

FAQ
How big is the RayNeo Air 3s screen?
It fills a 46-degree field of view. That looks like a 55-inch TV from about 5.4 feet, or a 201-inch screen from 20 feet. They are the same thing.
Does it work with iPhone?
iPhone 15 and later connect directly by USB-C. Earlier iPhones need two adapters.
Can I use it with prescription glasses?
A frame for prescription lenses is included. The lenses themselves are ordered separately from a partner.
Did you test them?
No. This review is based on RayNeo's published specifications and our own arithmetic.
Verdict
Strip away the 201-inch headline and the Air 3s is still an appealing idea at $269: a bright, fast 55-inch-equivalent screen you can wear on a plane. Confirm your device outputs video over USB-C, and do not expect the picture to stay put when you turn your head.
