The short answer
Consider it if
- You sit for long stretches and want lumbar support that moves when you do.
- You want adjustable armrests and a headrest without paying $500 or more.
- You fit within the published 20.3-inch hip width and 330 lb limit.
Skip it if
- You are very short or very tall. Sihoo does not publish the seat height range, so you cannot check fit before buying.
- You prefer to lock the lumbar support in one position.
- You dislike mesh seats.
Which list price is real?
On the day we checked, Sihoo's product page showed the C300 at $279.99 against a regular price of $559.99. The product feed Sihoo gives its sales partners listed the black chair at $269.99 against an original price of $399.99.
| Source | Selling price | "Regular" price | Implied discount |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sihoo product page | $279.99 | $559.99 | 50% |
| Sihoo partner feed | $269.99 | $399.99 | 33% |
The selling prices are within $10 of each other. The crossed-out prices are $160 apart. That tells you the chair's real price is around $270 to $280 and the "half off" banner is decoration. Judge it as a $280 chair.
Will it fit you?
Sihoo publishes the overall size (28 in wide, 28 in deep, 42 to 49 in tall), an 18.1-inch seat depth, a 20.3-inch maximum hip width and a backrest that rises between 18.1 and 21.7 inches. Recline goes to 130 degrees.
Two things are missing. The page gives no seat height range and no recommended user height. Those are the two numbers that decide whether your feet reach the floor. If you are under about 5 ft 4 in or over 6 ft 2 in, ask Sihoo for the seat height range before ordering. The 30-day free return is your safety net, but boxing a 51 lb chair back up is no fun.
The lumbar support adapts by itself and has no manual control. Many people like that. If you know you need firm pressure at a fixed height, this design may not suit you.
Certifications and small errors
The listing says the chair is certified by BIFMA and TUV. BIFMA standards test durability and load; TUV is a German testing body. The page calls them "environmental" certifications in one place, which they are not, and shows no certificate numbers. Ask for them if a workplace purchase depends on it.
The installation manual link on the page pointed to a file named for a different chair, the M18. It is a small slip, but check that the manual in your box matches the C300.

Verdict
At around $280 the Doro C300 lists features that usually cost twice as much, backed by a three-year warranty and free returns. Skip the discount theater, get the seat height range in writing if you are at either end of the height scale, and it looks like a sound buy.
